Echoing the first review, the reader whether a child or adult,can learn a lot from just practicing what are in these fables...The illustrations are superb...who is dat chick?
What a great collection of stories. Seldon Childers and Diane Buck have collaborated to create a diverse collection of classic fables in a way sure to delight and educate. The stories themselves are brief anecdotes that teach a lesson that can be used as a teaching tool while also entertaining younger readers. My son and I also appreciate the fact that these fables have been written in poetic, Seuss-like stanzas that are fun to read out loud. Each story is includes original artwork that varies between realistic and stylized that perfectly conveys the intent of the story. I am eagerly anticipating more from the authors.Bravo! This was a fine purchase, Aesop would be proud.
